(Local) Key Date Categories

The Key Date Category represents a category for Key Dates and serves informational purposes. Not all companies use this feature however if you want the system to be able to calculate starting or ending dates for construction you will need this.

To define Key Date Categories, open the page "Key Date Categories" by searching it or by navigating in a Roles Center (i.e. Homebuilder - Setup - Key Date Categories). "Key Date Categories" have a local scope which means each Company has its own list.

Note: You don't need to setup local Key Date Categories if you want to define Key Dates and Construction Workflow Templates globally (for all companies). Refer to Section "Global Key Date Categories".

(Global) Key Date Categories

To define Global Key Date Categories, open the page "Global Key Date Categories" by searching it or by navigating to a Roles Center (i.e. Homebuilder, then Setup and click Key Date Categories).

"Global Key Date Categories" have a global scope, which means once setup in one company, they are available for use in all companies.

Global Key Date Categories get pushed to local companies on pushing Global Construction Workflow Templates to Lots.
